About Coastal STEMfest

Inspiring the inventors, creators and scientists of the future.

Coastal STEMfest is a vibrant celebration of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM). A series of fascinating interactive activities, demonstrations, workshops and shows will be taking place in Coastal West Sussex during February and March, with the aim of inspiring the next generation to build careers in and with STEM.

The festival culminates with the Big Bang @ Butlin’s, Bognor Regis on 8th March. This event is part of a nationwide programme and will be a unique opportunity to experience hands-on activities, discuss ideas, get advice, and be inspired.

Why is Coastal STEMfest needed?

Addressing the STEM skills gap has been identified as a real priority for businesses in the community. Reinforced through the Coastal West Sussex Partnership Board and at the West Sussex Health and Life Science network event, local business are committed to do more to enthuse and inspire young people to study STEM subjects at school. With this support, Coastal STEMfest will fire young people’s curiosity and get them enthused about STEM.
