Event Date: Thursday 8th March 2018

Big Bang @ Butlin’s

Explore an Exciting array of STEM subjects and discover how to turn your passion into a career.

The Big Bang @ Butlin’s is an excellent day out to celebrate the STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) landscape in Coastal West Susex.  It is an exciting, noisy experience, part of Coastal STEMfest, aimed to encourage more students to take up STEM subjects and careers. With a wide variety of hands-on activities along with workshops and a show, there are many opportunities for students to discover what future opportunities are available.

Last year, people got to discover how STEM skills could be applied to a wide range of careers with hands-on activities involving; making lava lamps with GSK, learning about the water cycle with Southern Water, practicing virtual welding with Chichester College, seeing the latest designs by Inpress Plastics, working in the Army and many more.  This year will be as engaging, if not more so with a STEM-sational list of exhibitors and performers to reveal.
